Progress

Your puzzle, marks and progress save on your device, including while offline. Saving is automatic; there are no progress files to export or import. Deleting the app can remove local progress. Recovery on a new installation depends on an available platform cloud save or device backup.

Cloud saves

Cloud saves are being prepared for launch. Apple devices use Game Center and iCloud; Android devices use Google Play Games. You will not need a separate Monodoku account. Apple and Android cloud saves are separate, with no automatic cross-platform sync.

In a build with cloud saves enabled, connect in Settings → Cloud saves. On Apple, use the same Game Center and iCloud accounts on both devices, with iCloud Drive enabled. On Android, use the same Google Play Games account. Reconnect and choose Sync now before switching devices. Check the sync status before uninstalling; a local save alone does not survive deleting the app.

If two devices progress independently, the higher campaign level takes priority, along with that save's remaining Hints, Locates and other progress. For saves at the same level, the more recently changed progress takes priority. Balances are not added together. A cloud restore waits until you leave an active puzzle.

Achievements

Open Settings → Achievements to see your progress toward all 18 achievements. They cover puzzle milestones, solves without help, daily challenges, streaks, techniques and themes. Local progress works offline. Game Center and Google Play Games achievement integration is planned for launch; in an enabled build, connect to your game account and go online to report earned achievements.

A puzzle looks unsolvable

Every shipped board is machine-verified to have exactly one solution. If one seems impossible, send us the level number.

Use the technique guide for a worked example of each kind of deduction. In the game, Hint explains a move and Locate reveals a correct square.

Themes and offline play

Safari is built in. Puzzles, saved progress and installed themes work offline. Downloading a new theme needs an internet connection. If a download fails, reconnect and try again from the theme library.

Report a problem

Include your device model, iOS or Android version, Monodoku build number, and the level or screen where it happened. A screenshot helps us reproduce the problem.
